Soldier's Notes

 

Private Josiah Watson, Company D, enlisted on May 7, 1861, was twice wounded, and mustered-out on June 29,1864.

Captain Horatio Foster Taylor, Company I, died in February of 1878 and is buried with his wife, Samantha M. (Taft) Taylor in the Taft family plot at Grandview Cemetery, Ft. Collins, Colorado. Memorabilia belonging to Captain Taylor (his uniform blouse, a photo album including men in regiment, and smaller items) were donated to the Pioneer Museum in Colorado Springs, Colorado by Frank Whitman Taylor in 1990.
